The State of Games: March 2026

The headline numbers for February looked good, but really a lot of the success was on Resident Evil Requiem and game subscription services.

For March, there were a wider variety of winners across PC and console, including sports games WWE 2K26 and MLB: The Show 25, new IP Crimson Desert, and Nintendo Switch 2 enjoyed a strong boost on the back of Pokémon Pokopia.

There was also more growth for subscription, plus Resident Evil Requiem continued to do exceptionally well.

There was an abundance of new games in the charts across all platforms, and most of them performed strongly.
